What do you want God to do?

Luke 18:38,42 NKJV
And he cried out, saying, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Then Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.”
The blind man wanted Jesus to heal him, so he asked for mercy. Mercy within the Bible context refers to forgiveness or the withholding of punishment. His request came from a place of condemnation and not a place of faith. A guilty person asks for mercy. That means he felt like his blindness was punishment for a wrong him or his family may have committed. Therefore He asked Jesus for mercy. Jesus looked past his plea for mercy and placed a demand on his faith by asking him “what do you want me to do for you?” Wondering what you might have done wrong when something bad happens will not get you anywhere, but your faith will do wonders.
God wants what’s best for me.
I stand on the word of God.
Stop playing devils advocate when challenges are coming your way.
See God as your defender and not your accuser.
Instead of wondering what you might have done wrong, stand in faith and receive what you need directly from the hand of God.
Be aware that faith demands mercy. So put your faith to work.
Take some time in prayer and receive the unconditional love of God for you.
